What is a Jewelry Care Plan?
In a nutshell, it covers accidental damage and normal wear and tear, including issues like cracked, chipped, or lost stones; broken prongs or mountings; kinks, knots, dents, chips, thinning ring bands, gouges, scratches, etc. This protection applies to all insured jewelry, including rings, engagement rings, wedding bands, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and more, up to the limit of liability, which is the purchase price of your item.

What's the difference between a jewelry care plan and jewelry/homeowners insurance?
Scope of Coverage: Jewelry Care Plan focuses on maintaining and repairing your jewelry due to normal wear and tear or accidental damages, while Jewelry Insurance or Homeowners Insurance covers more extensive risks like loss and theft.
Payment Structure: Jewelry Care Plan is typically a one-time purchase, while Jewelry Insurance or Homeowners Insurance requires ongoing annual premium payments.
Purpose of Protection: Jewelry Care Plan is more about keeping your jewelry in good condition over time, whereas Jewelry Insurance or Homeowners Insurance is about protecting against major financial losses.

Can I buy a jewelry care plan from you to cover any of my jewelry?
No. You can only buy the jewelry care plan from us to protect jewelry directly sold by Cleo & Me at the time of purchase, or add the plan within 5 days of purchasing of a qualified item.
Why it's strongly recommended to buy a jewelry care plan?
When you wear your jewelry regularly, repairs may be NECESSARY over time. With a jewelry care plan, you’ll receive coverage beyond what you would receive with basic jewelry insurance, as well as quick and convenient repairs throughout the duration of your agreement.

What is Montage Jewelry Care Plan?
Montage Jewelry Care, a subsidiary of One80 Intermediaries, is a leading provider of care plans for jewelry and watch purchases. Montage Jewelry Care Plans are available for qualified items purchased through Cleo & Me at the time of purchase. It covers most jewelry purchases including rings, earrings, bracelets, pearls, leather, rubber and metal bands, and more. For over 40 years Montage have built a reputation for timely and responsive customer service.
What are covered?
- inspection of channel and setting work
- tightening or resetting of stones
- refinishing polishing
- cracked or thinning shanks
- re-tipping or replacement of worn and/or broken prongs or mountings
- broken earring post and loose earring backs
- broken clasps, bracelets, or chains
- repair of cracked or chipped stones (center stone coverage included in the Lifetime plan only)
- replacement of missing side or accent stones
- ring re-soldering or soldering to another ring
- loss of diamonds due to defective setting (*including center stones)
- rhodium re-plating
- one ring re-sizing after initial sizing
- stretched or broken pearl strands

What is the length of coverage for the plan?
We offer 3-year, 5-year, and lifetime coverage options. With the purchase of a Montage Jewelry Care plan, your item is protected from the day of delivery until the end of the term indicated on the plan’s contract.
However, please note that the plan is considered complete once the total repair costs equal the purchase price paid for the insured item. For example, if you purchase a ring for $5,000 and over the years you use benefits totaling $4,500, the coverage will be exhausted once the remaining $500 is used.

Do I have any out-of-pocket costs after the purchase of this plan?
No! There are no additional fees, hidden cost or deductibles. Shipping charges for repairs are also included with the plan.
How do I receive service or start a claim?
Please contact us or contact Montage directly.
Is the plan transferable?
Care plans are not transferable. Since they are legally binding, the benefits apply only to the purchaser during the term of the agreement.
Covered Jewelry Repair Services
Covered scenarios for necklace repair:
If your necklace chain gets knotted or kinked, we can execute professional repairs to ensure your piece get back to be intact, sturdy, and beautiful again. Broken, bent, or worn prongs and mountings are also covered.
Covered scenarios for ring repair:
Cracked or thinning shanks, missing or cracked stones, damaged prongs, or even resizing* or re-plating. Broken, bent, or worn prongs and mountings are also covered.
* Ring re-sizing is not covered immediately after purchase; Sizing for eternity bands or invisible settings is also not covered.
Covered scenarios for earring repair:
Broken earring backs or posts, cracked stones, etc.
Covered scenarios for bracelet repair:
Unknot or unkink bracelets for continued wear, etc.
Covered scenarios for pearl repair:
Pearl jewelry that becomes stretched or broken can be repaired through the care plan. It also covers pearl restringing as well.
Covered scenarios for plated jewelry:
During the term of your jewelry care plan, you can receive coverage for up to one (1) cosmetic rhodium plating of white gold every two (2) years.
What if something can't be repaired?
If a valid claim exists and the covered product cannot be repaired, the covered product may be replaced, or you may be reimbursed in an amount equal to the purchase price of the covered product less any claims paid under the service agreement. Please refer to your Montage Jewelry Care Service Agreement for specific coverage and all Terms & Conditions.
What scenarios are NOT covered?
- Minor surface scratches resulting from everyday will not be covered.
- Soldering of engagement and wedding bands will only be covered as a repair, not at time of purchase.
- Although 2 free ring sizings are covered during the term of the agreement, this coverage does not include initial ring sizing at the time of purchase, eternity bands, or invisible settings.

Montage Care Plan Pricing
The one-time purchase fee is based on the total item value (before tax and any coupons or promotions) that is insured. You can choose a 3-year, 5-year, or lifetime warranty depending on how long you want to protect your newly purchased jewelry.
You will receive an e-copy of your jewelry care plan agreement directly from Montage within 7 business days of purchase. Please retain both the agreement and the sales receipt for the insured item for any future claims.
